You’ve pulled off an attached tick from yourself, family member or a pet.
Why should you have it tested?
Tick testing is more accurate than human testing. Human tests look for antibodies produced to fight infection. Tick testing looks for the presence of the bacteria itself using a PCR test that detects certain DNA sequences of the bacteria or pathogen. The results from tick testing can help you and your doctor make timely treatment decisions.
