Tick-Borne Disease Research & Science Resources

The information below is provided to Medical and Healthcare Practitioners to give a deeper perspective of vector borne disease research and the science for diagnosing and treating Lyme and tick-borne co-infections.  Many of the resources listed provide CME. 


International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), online training platform promotes understanding of Lyme and associated diseases through research, education and policy. They strongly support physicians, scientists, researchers and other healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing the standard of care for Lyme and associated diseases. Their educational program includes: ILADS Annual Scientific Conferences, ILADS Vector-Borne Illness Fundamentals, Virtual Seminars and Webinars.



The International Lyme and Associated Diseases Education Foundation offers a Physicians Training Program, in which participants learn how to evaluate and treat patients with Lyme and associated tick-borne diseases in a real-world setting.  

Global Lyme Alliance offers free continuing medical education (CME) and continuing education (CE) accredited on-demand webcasts. Learn about the latest advances in diagnosing and treating Lyme disease/other tick-borne illnesses. 


Invisible International has partnered with VectorWise CME, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing clinical knowledge of vector-borne diseases, empowering frontline healthcare providers with free, online, evidence-based continuing medical education, CME. Courses are scientifically rigorous and taught by leading experts in clinical care and research to empower clinicians through vector-borne disease education.


Lymedisease.org has created a training & resource site for Physicians. They have gathered a plethora of resources that clinicians may download along with resources to obtain CME’s and related training that is essential to providing good clinical care for Lyme patients. 


Dr. Elizabeth L. Maloney, M.D. was a 2021-2022 member of the federal advisory committee Tick-Borne Disease Working Group where she co-chaired the Access to Care and Education subcommittee. She has created free, evidence-based, AAFP Accredited CME courses.

Medical Conferences in Pennsylvania

PA Lyme partners with ILADS, Drexel University and East Stroudsburg University to bring continuing tick-borne disease education to health care practitioners in Pennsylvania. Tentatively, our next medical conference will be in Spring 2027. Learn more about our past medical conferences.
